Our Personal Rental Trucks Review We rented a 24' Penske moving truck and a car hauling trailer when we bought our property in northeastern Washington. We had to move some equipment and bulky items from the shop and barn. Our property was just bare land, so we had to put in a (long) driveway, cut grass and weeds, and do some major earth moving! This truck was affordable, in very good condition and comfortable to drive. It had no problems towing the trailer hauling our heavy farm tractor and equipment. Even going up hills. I highly recommend them if you're moving and relocating to a new area. Sizes These moving trucks are available all over the country. You can choose between 12', 16', 22', and 26'. Use them for one way and local moving. They are all under 3 years old, so will be in very good condition. They all have diesel engines, to give you better fuel mileage than gasoline engines that are in other moving rentals. Penske claims their trucks will average 8-12 MPG. And a gas engine will only get about 5 MPG. So this could be a substantial savings with today's VERY high and out-of-control fuel costs. (one of my pet peeves) Other Items You May Rent Moving equipment items include: * Car tow dolly * Car carrier trailer * Furniture pads * 2-wheel hand truck * Appliance dolly They offer a 10% discount if you book your move online. Also offered is free unlimited mileage within the U.S. That means no extra charge per mile fees.
