PACKING YOURSELF

Sheds And Outbuildings

This packing yourself page is for sheds & outbuildings.

It's really quite easy. Simply because there are probably many items just too large for our moving boxes.

My packing tips will guide you as to how to pack these outbuildings.

The challenge will come when it is time to load. So keeping this in mind try to pack as many of the items as possible.

It might be easiest to remove all the items too large for boxes outside of the shed. Unless, of course, there is plenty of room inside to put these items to one side out of your way.

Now set up a folding station with newsprint (see PACKING YOURSELF Mini-Storage, if you need help to do this). Make up several different sizes of moving boxes. Now you start putting your puzzle together!

Wardrobe cartons are great for large bulky items. Just remember not to make the box so heavy that you can't lift it. And after it's full put the metal hanging bar in place before you close it up, to give the box extra strength.

You are quite experienced now, so you will know which size moving box to choose.

Again remember: The heavier the item, the smaller the box. And use LOTS of paper! Pack it tight so it travels safely.

Now that you've done many rooms, you're probably developing some moving and packing tips yourself! If you would like to share your favorites, just CONTACT US,

we would love to hear from you.
