Sources For Moving Boxes

Used boxes are available from many sources. Check with your local grocery store. Also check any local bulletin boards. Many people will give away their used packing material. Or you may find some for sale.

Watch for moving company trucks delivering household goods to a neighbor and then approach that neighbor after they get settled in. (not on moving day)

Sometimes moving companies will give away, or sell their used packing material, at a substantial discount.

Be Careful Packing The Used Cartons

Follow the household packing tips covered previously. And if you use grocery store boxes, remember; no books in diaper boxes!

If you can't lift it, no one else wants to either!

The rule is: The heavier the item, the smaller the.... That's right! You remembered !!

TIP: Moving boxes are preferred over grocery boxes because they are stronger, and they are sized similarly. For example a 3 cube or 4.5 cube will sit perfectly atop a dishpack.

This makes it a lot easier to put together your puzzle when you start loading.

I should mention here, too, that if you want to save a little, you can use newspapers crushed up for cushioning. The main thing is that you don't want to use newspapers for wrapping.
