HOUSEHOLD MOVING CHECKLIST: COMPANY MOVE

Having a moving company do your move is the ONLY way to go!

And this household moving checklist will inform you of what you need to be sure to do.

Moving people working with and for moving companies are well trained and experienced. But they are only human :-) So be sure to check the items on the moving list below. And add anything to it that you think is important for you.

* Have all personal items (that are going with you), in a safe "Don't Pack" area before the packers arrive.

* Check all rooms, and pay special attention to cabinets, closets, doors, & drawers BEFORE the packing crew leaves. This will ensure that everything was packed to your satisfaction. Also, if you do this BEFORE you sign the paperwork, you will know that all the packing has been completed. You will be asked to sign a statement saying so.

* After the loading is finished, do a walk through with the driver to be sure everything that you wanted loaded into the truck or trailer did in fact get loaded.

* Make sure you have all your copies of the paperwork and contact information for the driver and agency, or salesperson.
