FULL VALUE PROTECTION

There is a charge for this Full Value Protection option.
<<>>

It varies among moving companies. And there is a choice for the deductible, which will usually reduce the cost. Sometimes this option is referred to as Replacement Value Protection.

If an item is damaged or destroyed, that item will be repaired or replaced with a like item. (desk, chair, vase, dishes, etc)

Sometimes a cash settlement will be made, it's the movers option.

You may have declared High Value Items. Ask your salesperson for a complete explanation of this option. (jewelry, fur coats, stamp collection, etc)

This is not insurance. This option is governed by Federal law. The U.S. Dept. of Transportation authorizes tariff levels of liability.

Make sure you understand the moving company's quote.

TIP: Irreplaceable items and valuables like photos, jewelry, coin and stamp collections, should be taken with you. Or you may want to ship them ahead through a service like UPS or FedEx which can track the shipment.
